About Taylor Energy

Taylor Energy has been focused on using waste to produce clean, renewable energy.

As an SBA-certified woman-owned small business in California, we design, build, and operate advanced waste-to-fuel systems — all funded through competitive grants. Our hands-on team has successfully designed, built, and operated a 5-ton-per-day gasification plant at UC Riverside’s CE-CERT facility.

Our Story

Taylor Energy is a California corporation specializing in the research and development of sustainable energy solutions. We focus on converting Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), forest residues, and refuse-derived biomass into ultra-clean transportation fuels and renewable electricity.

We design, build, and operate real demonstration systems rather than just theorizing on paper. Every project is funded through competitive research grants.

Our Milestone

Our team has successfully designed, built, and operated a fully functional 5-ton-per-day gasification plant at the University of California Riverside’s College of Engineering Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT). This hands-on demonstration facility continues to serve as our primary research and development site.

Our Mission

We believe waste should never be wasted. By advancing waste-to-fuel technologies, we aim to reduce landfill use and produce clean, domestic energy that benefits both the environment and the economy.

Our Approach

  • Grant-funded, independent R&D
  • Full-cycle development: from feedstock analysis to system design, construction, and operation
  • Strong emphasis on collaboration with universities, government agencies, and industry partners
  • Commitment to ultra-clean, high-efficiency processes

Our Commitment

Innovation through real-world testing. Collaboration for greater impact. A cleaner future where today’s waste becomes tomorrow’s energy.

Our Location

Our research site is located at UCRiverside College of Engineering Center of Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT)
